Magnus Hexeberg (born 1998) is a Norwegian composer, based in Oslo. He has a Bachelor’s degree in composition from the Norwegian Academy of Music (2019 – 2023) and has studied both trumpet and conducting. His music is described as nostalgic, intricate, and colorful, but with a simplicity. Magnus usually writes in a tonal idiom, with a focus on timbre and atmosphere.

Magnus has written for a wide range of ensembles including Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, The Norwegian Wind Ensemble (DNBE), Manger Musikklag, as well as many chamber groups and solo performers. Some musicians Magnus has collaborated with are Eivind Ringstad, Christian Henriksen, Kenneth Ryland, Tiril Eirunn Einarsdotter and Tomas Nannestad. His works have been performed at Ultima festival, Norsjø Kammermusikkfest, the opening of Midtåsen Kulturpavaljong, and in Bærum Kulturhus. In 2022 Magnus received the scholarship for culture from Bærum Kommune. Later that year his guitar piece Ueve was awarded the price for best composition in Midgardskonkurransen.
